Project Description

The project's aim - to share the Radziwills' historical heritage, thus creating a more sustainable and efficient cultural and historical heritage, to increase vitality and attractiveness of Kedainiai region and to ensure the bigger flow of tourists. Project will have a direct impact on the economy in the region.

As tourists are very interested in historical heritage of the Radziwills' family, project seeks to restore the remaining tombs, show the artifacts related to them, and to adapt them for tourists' visits.

In the year of 2017 Kedainiai celebrated the Reformation's 500th anniversary. Kedainiai Reformed Church is the largest Protestant remaining church with unique Radziwills' family Mausoleum. That's why Radziwills' family Mausoleum, restoration and adaptation of tourism is very meaningful for Lithuania.

Kedainiai Regional Museum's work is very important for Radziwills' heritage promotion, project will give a chance for tourists to discover the history of Dukes family (to discover unified historical heritage and exhibitions of Radziwills' family). Project will strengthen regional identity and a sense of belonging.
