Project description

2 project partners – Museum of the World Ocean and Lithuanian Sea Museum, shall cooperate in order to increase attendance of marine heritage sites.

The main activities and expected results: key parts of historic ship will be restored and museified. These ships are the main exhibits of the organizations: Irbenskiy (lightship, Museum of the World Ocean, LB), Dubingiai SRT-3216 (fishing trawler, Lithuanian Sea Museum, B2). 

There will be new expositions with modern multimedia, a holographic movie on the Baltic shipbuilding and navigation, reconstructing museum ships history in the East Baltic. Catalogue of the East Baltic maritime heritage will be issued as the project results. 

Implementation period

24 months (from 2019-08-10 til 2021-08-09)
