Project LT-RU-1-025 „Cross-border transmission“ officially completed project implementation stage

On the 21st of January, 2022, the project LT-RU-1-025 „Cross-border transmission“ finished project implementation phase and organised a closing conference. The conference was held in a hybrid format – partners from Kaliningrad attented the event in-person and representatives from Lithuania joined the conference online.

Project was implemented by three partners – Lithuanian Sea Museum, The municipal autonomous cultural institution of the city district "City of Kaliningrad" The Kaliningrad Zoo" and The municipal autonomous cultural institution of the city district "City of Kaliningrad" "The Friedland Gate "Museum".

The main aim of the project was to expand cultural tourism in cross-border region and to incrase the number of tourists visiting the project partner institutions.

As a project result, the Neringa Fort was restored and repaired, wheel chair lift was also installed there. At the Kaliningrad Zoo, the historic fountain and animal aviaries were overhauled, while at the Fryland Gate Museum – the premises were renovated, restored and electrified. Partners also developed two new tourist routes, which shall let tourists explore cultural objects of both countries when the pandemics ends.
