The 9^th Joint Programming Committee meeting took place online, on the 20^th of December, 2021. Lithuanian and Russian national delegations met to discuss possible Programme indicators, their quantification, assumptions for calculation and funding between specific objectives.

Regarding the priorities and specific objectives, during the 8^th Joint Programming Committee meeting, it was mutually decided that the programme funds will be dedicated to support two policy objectives and one Interreg Specific Objective:

Priority 1 – Safe environment for people and nature

Policy Objective 2 Specific Objective (vii) Enhancing protection and preservation of nature, biodiversity and green infrastructure, including in urban areas, and reducing all forms of pollution

Priority 2 – Comfortable well-being in regions

Policy Objective 4 Specific Objective (v) Ensuring equal access to health care and fostering resilience of health systems, including primary care, and promoting the transition from institutional to family - and community-based care

Policy Objective 4 Specific Objective (vi) Enhancing the role of culture and sustainable tourism in economic development, social inclusion and social innovation

Priority 3. – Cooperating regions

Interreg Specific Objective 1 specific objective (i) Building institutional capacity of public authorities.

After finalised strategic environment assessment and identification of results indicators, the next Programming stage will be basically focused on preparing the Programme document.
