On the 19th of December 2016 the European Commission approved the Joint Operational Programme "Lithuania-Russia 2014-2020" for the European Neighbourhood Instrument Cross-border Cooperation programme for the years 2014-2020.

The financial contribution of the European Union to the budget of the Programme is 17 million EUR.
